Since 1995, I have been working to provide the best foot & ankle care to physically active patients in the South Florida area.

I have translated this patient-centered care abroad by founding the Emmaus Medical Mission. I’ve led and participated in over 40 global medical missions.

Most importantly, I love God, my wife, and my daughter, exercise, and golf!

As a teenager, Dr. Rivera had gotten interested in podiatry and sports medicine when he had an athletic injury to his ankle that healed poorly, resulting in his inability to return to full running activity.  That incident inspired him to provide better care for others and help them to reach their fullest potential.

Dr. Rivera understands the unique needs and concerns of his patients and colleagues. Dr. Rivera´s practice mission is to provide compassionate, ethical, comprehensive, efficient quality foot and ankle care with an edge on using the latest technological advances in foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine.  

Dr. Rivera offers the latest advanced technology to solve your pain including minimally invasive Arthroscopic and Endoscopic surgery of the foot and ankle. He uses the latest laser technology for the treatment of skin and nail diseases. Additionally, he uses advanced blood plasma technology for an effective and swift healing process of foot and ankle conditions affecting the joints, tendons, and ligaments of the lower extremity.

One such technological success was the collaboration with Biomedical Enterprise in San Antonio, Texas.  The surgical design team platformed the Internal Fixation Staples and Hammerlock which assist in stabilization; the invention was later purchased by Depuy Synthese.

Dr. Rivera’s treatment philosophy is based on a partnership between the patients and his staff.
